IMD – Davis Cup Final Signage

The Davis Cup is the most important sporting event in the world of tennis. Each year around 125 countries face each other to win the Cup. The importance of this competition is especially notable in Spain, where the national team has got great achievements in the last decade. In 2010, and for the second time, the final of the test was held at the Olympic Stadium in Seville. After presenting a complete project that competed with other entities, the company mimmo was chosen to develop the design, production and installation of the signage and implantation of corporate image of the event.

An innovative design was made, in terms of practicality and applied corporativity, that used the existing infrastructures in the surroundings, turning the image of the Olympic Stadium of Seville into a modern tennis arena. More than 260 signs of different formats were made, from totems to banners, through plaques, removable vinyls, tarpaulins, etc. As an indispensable condition, we set out to ensure that after the uninstallation there was no trace of the intervention performed, which was a real challenge.

Dealing with so many guidelines in such a large space, with so many accesses, corridors and doors, has been the most labyrinthine experience we have experienced.
